A-Town Hoops is home of Arlington Washington's Select Youth Basketball program for boys grades 4-8, and girls grades 5-8. Prospective players try out and are selected on the basis of several variables, including skill, talent and character to form competitive teams. Not all players who try out will make a team.

The Arlington Boys and Girls Club launched a boys Fall Select basketball program in 2012 as well as a recreational league that accept all players. Players not selected for an A-Town Hoops team, and want to continue playing basketball are encouraged to use the Boys and Girls Club leagues, and try out for AAU the following year.

Playing Select Basketball requires a strong time as well as financial commitment from both player and parents.

Coaches
A-Town Hoops is funded mainly through the parents of the players and approximate costs can be between $250 and $300 per season per player. Coaches may decide to enter additional tournaments incurring additional expenses.

Additionally we have established fund-raising events, such as the Holiday Hoop Classic tournament in December and concessions at home games to generate revenue that help minimize operating expenses. These events require the support and volunteer efforts of many players and parents to whom we owe great thanks.
